About Me

How would I describe myself

My name is Kormi Courage (KC) Amese. I am distinguished Serial Entrepreneur, International Business Consultant, Doctoral Candidate, and Philanthropist. With a diverse portfolio spanning multiple industries including Information Technology, Advertising, Energy, Construction, Agriculture, and Logistics, I have garnered over 14 years of experience in founding and managing numerous Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

I started off as an Advertiser right after university, I then gave up my role to create an IT company for data infrastructure in Ghana for 3 years. 12 years ago, my team established a consultancy for Energy, Project Finance and Investments which I lead. We incorporated a branch of the consultancy in Colorado – USA in 2018. In 2019 we invested into farms & logistics businesses which I partially lead as well.

Transitioning into consultancy, I have evolved into a seasoned professional, bringing a wealth of entrepreneurial expertise into my role as a Bilingual Consultant. I possess an extensive proficiency in Deal Advisory, Capital Raising, and Business & Project Development. Notably, I have successfully executed deals, developed projects, and raised funds for initiatives spanning the African continent.

Education

“Je parle français”, with a B2 DELF certificate from Centre international d’études pédagogiques, Paris – France. I hold a Certificate in Consulting from the Ghana Institute of Consulting, an Executive MBA – Finance from Lancaster University, Postgraduate Certificate in Oil & Gas Management from the University of Liverpool – UK, a certificate in Global Energy Business from the University of Colorado – USA. A Bachelors of Art in Publishing Studies from KNUST. I also hold certificates from the Ghana Stock Exchange and Ghana Institute of Languages in Chinese, 你好. I am currently pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) with a special focus on Data Analytics at the Grand Canyon University in Arizona – USA. My research focus revolves around developing alternative financing models with open data for SMEs in Africa.

Philanthropy

As part of my philanthropic work, I have an award at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) budded, “KC Amese Award” where I award and mentor young entrepreneurs. I was also awarded the Most Outstanding Alumni Entrepreneur by KNUST in 2017.

I am a Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) of Rotary International. I am a final round judge at Enactus Business Challenge. I mentor young children with Dream Believe Achieve (DBA) a foundation focused on the development of children in Ghana.

Interests/Hobbies:

I play Golf (a member of Achimota Golf Club), I like to travel, swim, learn and follow global economic developments.

What the future holds?

I want to help drive investment to local businesses in Africa. I foresee myself consulting mainly in the areas of entrepreneurship, finance, SME development for policy makers and Investors throughout Africa. I see the need for more experienced entrepreneurs to help form effective policies to guide the development of Africa.

I look forward to new consulting roles on challenging projects to employ my vast expertise in resolving pressing issues.
